Objective
Develop a NFL scorebug in order to practice my visual design skills. The scorebug needs to be distinct and innovative while still displaying all relevant information.
DEVELOPMENT
Research
In order to understand the landscape of NFL Scorebugs, I viewed all recent NFL scorebugs and sorted them into a few categories.

After evaluating the two major scorebug options, I opted for a center style bug, which we have seen start popping up more and more.
The center bug gives us a few advantages, including that it can be seen in mobile crops of highlights, adding context to clipped plays, and that it reflects the idea of both teams facing each other, with the scores highlighted in the center with the game details.
Development
With that decided, I created multiple mockups of what the design could look like, using teams from Super Bowl LX.

The design I settled on featured an "Island" in the center, which will show various information, like down and distance, penalty flags, or the network logo, depending on the game state.
